A unique approach to childcare
After nine years as a term-time nursery teacher, I recognised the need for consistent, quality care during school holidays. Squirrels Childminding East Butterleigh was created to offer exactly that – a peaceful, nurturing environment for a maximum of six children. This small group ensures each child feels valued and loved, without being possibly overwhelmed by larger, more frenetic holiday clubs.
Experienced & trusted care
With 9 years as a nursery teacher and 6 years as a teaching assistant, my experience spans over 15 years in childcare. I am paediatric first aid trained, hold an enhanced DBS check, and am Ofsted registered (registration number 2841769). As a parent of two wonderful children myself, I understand the importance of entrusting your little ones to a caring, capable, and qualified individual.
Fun & engaging activities
Every day at Squirrels Childminding is an adventure tailored to individual interests and age ranges. From junk modelling rockets with older children to splodging paint into egg boxes with the little ones, creativity thrives. We spend ample time exploring the natural world, building rain gauges, and respecting wildlife. Baking sessions teach counting and patience, with older children proudly helping their younger friends – fostering responsibility and teamwork.
