A day of discovery & fun
Our daily routine at Squirrels Childminding begins at 8:30 am when children arrive, settling into free play. Snack time is at 10 am, followed by engaging outdoor exploration where we might play in the mud kitchen, build obstacle courses, or just enjoy digging in the mud! Lunch is at 12 pm, enjoyed family-style around the table, after which we have 20 minutes of quiet time, allowing all children to recharge their batteries before a busy afternoon.
Creative hands & caring hearts
After lunch and quiet time, we either head back outside, depending on the weather, continue free play, or finish our morning craft projects. At 2:30 pm, we tidy up and engage in cooking or baking activities, often making enough for our snack and to share with families. Story time is at 4 pm, just before parents arrive at 4:30 pm. I offer extended care until 5:30 pm if needed. I care for children aged 3 to 7 years old, encouraging older children to carry out small tasks, fostering responsibility and kindness.
